I ordered the only vegetarian option on the menu - 'Woodfire Roasted cauliflower (what a disappointment) the coriander dressing was too bitter for me. A slice of cauliflower for £20, I would have been better off with a bowl of chips and a salad!
Those in my group who ordered meat enjoyed it but I wouldn't eat there again. None of the group had desserts as they were not particularly interested in the choice available. However we all enjoyed the cocktails
Went there and was seated quickly. However, we were waiting for about 15-20 mins until someone came and took our orders for food and drink. We were the only diners sitting outside and were basically forgotten as everyone was tending to diners on the inside. The waitress even told us nobody knew about us sitting there and forgot about us.
Food was delicious, cannot fault it.
No one came to ask if we wanted more drinks until our meal was finished where we declined and said we are finished eating and told the waiter that we wanted more but no one came or was around to ask for more drinks.
Lovely establishment and delicious food but will not be going back as not treated fairly like other guests and forgotten due to choosing to sit outside.
Ate here recently and was pretty impressed. It was a weekday evening and pretty quiet overall; however, I did enjoy the food.
The steak was cooked to absolute perfection. The veg was extremely flavourful, and roasties deep dried and interesting.
The service was spot on. The waiter was very attentive, though not annoying, and I did feel he had a bit of upsell in him, but great either way.
I’d definitely eat here again.
Since we have visited the Coal shed in Brighton, we thought we would give the London one a try for a Valentine’s Day treat. The price was very reasonable comparing to other high end venues in London and the menu looked fantastic. The interior of the restaurant is really lovely and the staff is really welcoming. The service we received was friendly and warm. The food and drinks were served to us swiftly and everything we tried was very tasty. Definitely would visit again.
Positive: Sunday roast for two was lovely, good size portion, and the steak was medium rare as we asked. Onion rings were also nice.
Negative: Our roast was served with a tiny portion of gravy. When we asked for more, the waiter failed to let us know that they charge extra £3. Some of the red wines were out of stock, and we only found out once we wanted to order one.
Tip: Probably best to book in advance.
I ordered food and was reminded 3 times they were about to close, after i ahd already ordered. I was seated at 2135. I got the oysters which were the best part of the service. I suppose it's because all they had to do was open the oysters. The steak I ordered was under cooked. The steak my partner ordered was over cooked. I ordered chikichurri with my steak which they forgot about and brought after I reminded the waiter. I was reminded again that they were about to close, so I should get a drink before the bar closes, I had a bottle of merlot at the table whichb they had just brought. In my opinion, it's not worth the money spent.
To be frank, I was disappointed. Everywhere you look there are boards telling you about their meat. I ordered a sirloin steak and it was full of gristle. I mentioned it to the waitress who was pleasant but did nothing about it. To be fair, my wife said her burger was delicious but I'll go to The Ivy next time.
This was the best roast dinner I have ever had. I'm not particularly a beef fan, but I tried some of it and then filled my plate with more! It was the most delicious beef I have ever eaten! I would definitely visit again. I would say that every part of the roast was excellent. Well worth a visit!
